Overview

Laylo now offers an API you can use to programmatically sign up fans to your Laylo. In other words, hitting this API is the same as a fan signing up through the usual profile page or embed. Use it to connect with third party integrations, or add it to a custom widget on your website.

<aside> 🚨 IMPORTANT - You must include links to Laylo’s terms and conditions and privacy policy wherever you collect phone numbers using our API for opt in.

Notes:

• Send exactly one of phoneNumber or email per call. If you send both, the call still succeeds but the email is used and the phone is silently dropped — so don't rely on passing both.
• For phone number, please format using +1234567890, which includes the + and the country code. For example, if its a UK number, you will want to include +44
• Once a fan successfully signs up, they’ll receive a confirmation message that you can set up under Settings > Phone/SMS > Welcome message.
